The first time I fabricated this, I looked at my husband and said, "You lot try it beginning." He in turn, like little Mikey, said, "I ain't trying it first, you try information technology." Since then, nosotros have discovered we actually like this for a change of pace, and it is great to take to a covered dish dinner. I double everything and bake it in a 9X13 glass baking dish, and instead of using the buttermilk biscuits, I apply 2 cans of cresent rolls/ 1 tin unrolled will fit the lesser perfectly, and the other for the superlative crust. Before filling with the meat mixture, I bake the lesser crust well-nigh 5 minutes beginning. I also added some cumin and ceyenne pepper just to jazz information technology up some, and often use a diverseness of cheese, whatsoever I have on hand at the time.

splendid!!! My husband loves this so much he's told me to never forget this recipe!!! I volition brand one modify though, I will defninitely pre-melt the biscuits until they are Virtually done, then I brand the recipe. 2nd time I made this, the peak layer of biscuits weren't quite done underneath (the heart ones), and I don't think I'll go out it to chance. This is a very versatile recipe. I added a layer of cottage cheese mixed with shredded cheddar and information technology was delicious!!! I highly recommend this recipe!!!! I also recommend making them with the "grands" rolls as they are so skilful and flaky!!! leftovers?? what leftovers???
03/08/2005
I tweaked this a bit likewise, I used cheddar and mozerella cheeses, adding 3/four cup to the meat mixture. I also added one 1/2 cans lycopersicon esculentum sauce. The chili pepper and sour cream were wonderful. Instead of can biscuits, I fabricated my own, split the dough in half, rolled out the first half pressed, it into the lesser of an 8 1/2x11" glass pan, and then added the meat mixture, more than moz. cheese over the meat, then rolled out the 2d half of dough, pressed information technology over, added the chedd. and moz mixture over the pinnacle, then drizzled the remaining of the second can of tomato plant sauce over the top. Baked for 25 min, and when it came out it looked like a magazine cover. Information technology was awesome! The crust, pinnacle and bottom turned out perfect. The husband said it was so and then good and is a keeper for sure!
07/28/2004
I made some changes to this recipe because of the reviewers suggestions. I added corn and a can of rotel tomatoes with chilies. I didnt accept any sour cream and so that was merely omitted. Fifty-fifty though I added tomatoes I also added the tomato sauce. I used Mexican cheese but but on the height. I forgot to put some in the beef mixture. (oops)And when I cooked the ground beef I added minced garlic instead of garlic salt. This was a good dinner that my hubby liked more I did. Side by side fourth dimension I volition attempt Grands biscuits since the ones I used were likewise small and just didn't give enough crust. I will brand this again and probably practice it the same way as I did tonight.
09/05/2003
I sprinkled garlic powder on the ground beef while browning it instead of adding garlic salt at the terminate. I likewise broiled the lesser layer of biscuits for 7 minutes earlier adding the rest of the ingredients. This was a wonderful meal with lots of season!
05/06/2003
I baked the crust earlier hand like other people suggested. I then filled and broiled it, turned out cracking! Reminds me of a condolement food. Thanks for the recipe
05/11/2003
This was smashing. I too doubled the recipe and put it in a 9X13 pan instead and information technology worked out well. I also used the Pillsbury crescent rolls for the top and bottom. It was similar eating chili in a biscuit! I will be making this one over again and once more.
03/07/2002
We were surprised at how good this was. I think next time I will add more ingrdients for filling. It was a piddling on the bready side.
03/21/2008
WOW!!! I fabricated this for my husband tonight and he ate 3 helpings and is at present sitting on the couch rubbing his tummy :) I used about a tablespoon of taco seasoning, probably a bit more, I don't measure very often. I besides added a can of corn and kidney beans. Definately bake the lesser layer of biscuits for a bit first or else they won't become done. My hubby said this is definately a keeper!
05/13/2003
This was good!!!! Well, as written it may non be the leanest dish in the world, but I did make it at least a piddling healthier. I used ground turkey, whipped low fatty cottage cheese in lieu of the sour cream and omitted the egg. I added a few more seasonings and used pepper jack cheese in the mixture simply topped the biscuits with parm. For me, one can of tomato sauce wasn't plenty and I could take used more biscuits, but I made do. We all really enjoyed this!
07/22/2002
AWESOME! AWESOME! Crawly!! I have made this twice and then far with excellent results. I sprinkled my cheese on earlier adding the acme layer of biscuits. I also jazzed information technology up with chopped green and red bell peppers. Information technology is even improve warmed up the side by side day! Thanks
11/29/2001
I tried, then reviewed, this recipe in 2001 and gave information technology three stars. I recently gave it some other endeavor and it came out better! Either the recipe was modified since then, or I was comatose when I commencement read the instructions. Truthful comfort food. My only suggestion: bottom layer of rolls is not necessary.
06/09/2004
It sure tasted better than it looked or sounded! Had good ratings and reviews then I thought I'd give it a effort and I'm glad I did. I did accidentally employ green onions instead of regular, simply yet turned out corking!
03/03/2012
I've made this recipe for years and love it. You lot can put whatever you like in the meat (serrano peppers or mushrooms or corn, etc). I've always used Grands biscuits and stretched them out a bit to comprehend the peak and bottom. A great southern dish.
05/03/2005
Very skillful...quick and like shooting fish in a barrel dinner. My changes: 1lb. beef-this was plenty, lots of fresh garlic, 4oz.lycopersicon esculentum sauce, a drained tin of Rotel and cumin. I did pre-bake the bottom crust about 5minutes and layered the actress cheese (mexi-blend) on top of the beefiness mixture with the biscuits on acme. Browned up beautifully, no sogginess anywhere. Served with fresh fruit salad and corn. Whole family enjoyed, not too spicy for my daughter and almost spicy enough for me!
05/31/2004
My husband and children LOVED this recipe and I loved it considering I already had all of the ingredients on mitt. I used a package of taco mix and an viii-oz can of tomato sauce in the footing beef- That provided but the right amount of spice for us. I also used cheddar cheese, which tasted great. My married man has asked for this dish to go a staple.
08/06/2002
This is a new family favorite meal! My married man keeps bugging me to make some more. I might add together some diced tomatoes next time just considering I'm curious. Just I highly recommend this one!
11/06/2003
Very skilful and easy! I used Boca crumbles instead of footing beefiness and cheddar cheese. Will brand once again!
x/26/2012
Really good. Did a Mexican themed version of this. Basically, made a chili base of operations with red kidney beans, tomato paste, salsa, and added the secondary ingredients, (egg, sour cream, cheese) co-ordinate to recipe. With these alterations, it is a 5* dish.
04/fourteen/2002
Succulent! As always when I need a great recipe, I manage to find something on this website. I wanted a 'ground beef something' the other night and decided to try this recipe. It was soooo skillful! I merely had a smaller tin can of biscuits, so used them on the bottom and merely used a mix of cheddar and monteray jack cheeses on the top. I also used Rotel instead of greenish chiles. It was so good that I couldn't quit eating it! I will be making this before long as a potluck dish for work as I told everyone how adept it was the next twenty-four hours. The only problem with the recipe at present will exist waiting on it to finish baking so nosotros can eat!
09/05/2002
This recipe tasted corking! Yet, it was very ugly looking. My family had to exist convinced to try it. I'll have to fix it up a little bit to try to go far look a little more appetizing, maybe it needs a little bit more than biscuits on top if using a 9x13 dish. Tastes great though! Thanks!
01/26/2004
This recipe is so flavorful yet mild. We call it "Taco Pie." Information technology has been 3 years since I establish this recipe. Both my 2- and v-year former love it! I don't know anyone who dislikes this repast. Information technology'south the best! My only tweaks are to use 1/two tsp seasoned salt and 1/2 tsp garlic pulverisation instead of garlic common salt; and to use a full four oz tin can of balmy diced green chiles. Besides, you do non need to bake the biscuit crust beforehand. You simply flatten the biscuit halves until they are less than one/ii" thick when they are all flattened into a single large circle in the bottom of the pie dish. Information technology is never doughy, and always turns out succulent! I only disagree about the number of servings this dish makes-- 2 pies serve four adults and 3 under five's with a slice to spare.
09/25/2002
This was out of this world! Fabricated it with Cayenne Pepper and added a little more kick to it! Outstanding!
03/06/2002
Loved it! I used crescent rolls instead of biscuits (1.five cans). I as well baked the lesser layer a piddling before adding filling. Yummy!
02/thirteen/2004
Yum! We actually enjoyed this dish for dinner this evening. I didn't have green chile peppers but I did use a tin of diced tomatoes with green chille peppers. I didn't have the larger can of biscuits simply I made due with the smaller size and it came out just fine. The bottom crust was probably thinner than normally prepared, just we liked it that way. I sliced the beige into thirds. It volition definitely exist served in our abode once more. Thanks for sharing.
02/20/2008
This was a great recipe, however, just past looking at the ingredients, it seems information technology would be bland. I added 3 times as much garlic salt and ii times as much chili pulverization, and it turned out just dandy. I'm sure it would have been bland with the ingredients listed though, every bit some people say. It tasted alot like sloppy joes, all the same, the twist was the biscuits! Great idea at that place. Also the spices, I used a jalapeño pepper instead of the Chile pepper, and kept everything else the aforementioned (well, besides the garlic common salt & chili powder). I also cooked the bottom layer for 5 minutes beforehand, every bit some people warn. I requite it 4 stars, bang-up recipe. Oh btw, this feeds four people as a whole meal, non ten!
10/16/2002
I didn't care for this much but my husband did. I used Pillsbury's Golden Corn biscuits for a Mexican flavor and served it with lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sour cream. I thought the amount of breading was overwhelming and the meat mixture lacked some flavor. There seemed to be a discrepancy with i of the ingredients. I bought a 17 oz. tin of biscuits (not 10 oz. as the recipe calls for) and had less biscuits than what the recipe indicated. Information technology all worked out and I used all just one of the biscuits using an eight inch pie pan. I won't be making this once more unless my married man actually wants information technology.
09/21/2002
This is one of the all-time tasting "throw together" casseroles that I have always made or eaten. Simply Delicious!! Give thanks you lot!
01/15/2002
This was delicious and so easy to make. I printed the recipe earlier I left for work and my married man surprised me by having it fix when I got home. A true comfort food that only makes your stomach experience warm and cozy later on eating. My girl rated it 12 stars!
03/06/2003
My husband and I beloved this recipe. It works great with Colby-Jack cheese besides, instead of just obviously Monterey Jack. I likewise add some garlic powder for a little extra spice.
01/12/2002
This recipe was a disappointment! Information technology was really bland, and the biscuit topping got very hard. I'one thousand tossing this recipe!
09/twenty/2003
This was good, not great. Information technology is proficient alternative if you lot are looking for beefiness something and want a change. Information technology would have been five stars if there was corn it it. The flavor is tasty but tiresome after the start few bites, so I think corn will do the play a joke on to add some umph. I volition be making this again, simply with corn. I'll let you know how it turns out.
06/04/2001
My family unit (5 teenagers) loved this dish! As did the neighbors! It was easy, very tasty, and filling. We upt the recipe to twenty servings. The kids want to know how soon they tin have it once more!
12/08/2002
I tried this recipe concluding night and institute it to be very tasty. I changed it just a little, I added chili oil as well as the chopped chili peppers. I besides added monterey jack cheese with jalapeno peppers. I used a 9x13 pan and used 2 cans of 7.five oz of biscuits. Information technology was a hit. Thank y'all for the recipe.
08/29/2004
Both my husband I liked this--good flavor. Although, I thought the egg with the ground beefiness gave the beef kind of a weird consistency--I might leave that out side by side time.
05/29/2002
This was so skillful. Everyone in my family had 2 helpings. My married man fifty-fifty wanted thirds. When nosotros were done my iv yr onetime ran around the firm saying yummy. She renamed the dish taco pie. Thanks for the bully recipie.
04/thirty/2002
Very good. I added a half cup of kidney beans to the meat mixture.
12/15/2004
I beloved this recipe...I lost it and found information technology again. Its a staple in our home!! I modified it a piffling to suit our palate, I utilise green pepper instead of chili pepper, add a tin of lycopersicon esculentum sauce, and I employ nearly a tablespoon of chili powder.
05/14/2004
My husband and I love this simple goulash. I make the recipe simply as it is, with the addition of some frozen corn to the meat mixture, and occasionally I will use jalepenos if I don't have chilis on mitt. The make of biscuits I buy only has 8 in a package, so in order to make a nice crust, I cutting the biscuits in half and spread them on the lesser of the dish. Then I evenly place the beige tops over the meat mixture. Information technology doesn't matter if the biscuits have gaps between them on either layer.
03/22/2001
I will not brand this again and I'thousand throwing out the leftovers.
02/28/2001
I substituted ane/4 cup diced green peppers for the greenish chilies. I suggest to lightly grease the pie pan so the biscuits don't stick. Use a sparse layer of biscuits on bottom - for they did not cook completely and were gooey. My eighteen month old LOVED it - and so did my married man.
02/07/2004
LOVED Information technology!! I didn't have sour foam, and so used 1/ii c. refried beans, added corn and cumin later on reading ALL the reviews! I used crescent roll dough--prebaked the "bottom chaff" as suggested--I think side by side time I'll just put a pinnacle crust of crescent rolls--don't know why some reviews said it didn't look good--it looked Succulent and gold! Husband and friends loved it, besides!!
01/x/2006
I thought this was great. I have a picky daughter, so made her's in a separate pan, without the onion and green chiles (canned, chopped). She loved this dish!!! Rarely see her Honey annihilation! Good Task.
06/xiii/2005
Very skillful. I made it with crescent coil dough because I was out of regular biscuits and it came out very well that fashion. Would recommend for a quick night dinner.
01/27/2005
Actually practiced condolement food. I used some chopped up red bell pepper instead of the green chili considering that's what I had. I used cheddar cheese. I, like others, had to add extra spice, about ane 12/ tablespoons chili powder and a few drops of hot sauce, to jazz information technology up a scrap. Information technology was great and will definitely exist a common meal in our firm. Kind of a twist on the sloppy joe!
03/05/2008
This is one of my husbands favorites! I will use 1 lb. of extra lean beef and then add together a can of kidney beans for protein and fiber without the fat.
04/29/2008
Information technology was decent. I didn't have whatever greenish chilis or sour cream, so I used a small eight oz tin of salsa verde for the spicy kick and I melted in some foam cheese in place of the sour cream. It turned out well. I also added a can of corn for a fiddling something actress. I ended upwards non putting biscuits on the bottom, I can only imagine an undercooked soggy mess, then I prebaked them half mode and then put them on summit. It turned out to be quite a comforting meal and was fifty-fifty better the next solar day.
11/12/2007
This is a big hit at my house, especially with the guys. The last time I made information technology, I switched upwardly the sauce and made a BBQ sauce with ketchup, mustard, brown sugar and vinegar to gustatory modality. Then continued with recipe as written - YUM!
04/22/2006
This recipe is both tasty and easy to prepare. Nigh importantly even my picky kids liked it! We substituted chipotle chili powder for regular chili pulverization which gave the meat a nice flavour. Following the suggestion of others we used two cans of crescent rolls and baked the bottom layer for about 5 minutes. Dainty to accept found a recipe that the whole family likes.
03/29/2013
Let me first by proverb that the dish tasted actually good. It really did. My family even agreed. Only I had a hard time getting them to even try information technology. It did not *look* practiced and they couldn't go past that. I could and really enjoyed it. I didn't accept the refrigerated biscuit dough, so I made a double batch of Bisquick biscuits with buttermilk. I spread half the dough in the bottom of the pan and pre-baked information technology. So I topped information technology with flattened balls of biscuit dough. I won't be making this again, non because I didn't similar it, simply considering I don't call back my family will want to affect it again. Besides bad.
09/21/2010
I made this recipe for my Daddy on a trip home recently and he loved it! He never ever compliments food, yet he did this one. I made a few slight changes (don't we all) just not much. I used i jalepeno instead of the pepper, fresh garlic (with the beef) and salted it myself, a pizza cheese and calorie-free sour cream. The next solar day he fifty-fifty came dwelling for lunch instead of going out and heated some of the leftovers up. I will definitely be making this once again (though I might attempt crescent rolls, as one other reviewer mentioned). I might also add a little more spice to it, as I really like spicy stuff. Thank you for sharing!
07/23/2008
The kids and I loved this dish! I actually doubled everything and baked information technology in a 9x12 casserole dish. I didn't have whatever light-green republic of chile and then I used bell and jalepeno peppers. It was fast, piece of cake and kids loved the fact they were able to assist.
x/07/2004
A quick supper dish that is prissy and filling. I'chiliad only giving it three stars, because I found information technology to have average taste - and my family didn't rave over it much.
10/xi/2006
I really had high hopes for this recipe. It sounded and then adept. This didn't get over very well at my house. I won't brand information technology again.
ten/04/2002
This dish is very rich and delicious! My husband and kids (who are very picky) loved it!
01/15/2002
I thought this recipe was great. I used dark-green peppers instead of the green chiles. I seasoned the ground beefiness with garlic powder and consummate seasoning and I used the cheese i had which was Mozarella and Cheddar and it turned out crawly. Thanks for sharing this recipe with usa!!! My 2 kids, 3 and 1 really liked it also.
02/10/2006
My family loved it!! My four year quondam had three helpings. I doubled recipe and used 9x13 glass blistering dish greased. Added a parcel of taco seasoning along with chilli seasoning. Prebaked bottom for half dozen minutes and I likewise put cheese on top for final 15 minutes. Staff of life was not soggy the beginning day or on the next when I reheated.
05/17/2007
Pretty skilful. Immature picky eaters at domicile ate it upwardly. I didn't read the reviews prior to making, only wish I had because I realize I should've flattened the dough a little more. The lesser layer was a little doughy in the middle of pie plate. Will flatten and cook a little longer next time.
12/26/2004
Yummy beef, but not much else. I accept a taco pie recipe that layers seasoned basis beef, kidney beans, shredded cheese, crushed doritos, lettuce, and diced tomatoes on a biscuit chaff. I think I volition apply this recipe again for the beef only add the other ingredients from the other recipe. Together they will be fantastic!
07/26/2001
my kids are fussy eaters and when i stock-still this dish my kids couldn`t become enough of it. Even my husband loved it. Thank-you Kathy
03/23/2011
This is succulent! Not complicated, cheap ingredients. The only affair I have changed is the use of cressant rolls, suggested by some. My husband is a super picky eater, thank goodness my children are non, and he fifty-fifty agreed to add this to our dinner rotation. I dearest that it is fairly elementary, something I tin can make b4 leaving for work at night and my married man pull it out of the oven. I but tried this dish, what the children left anyways, THIS IS Amazing! You accept to requite it a chance you lot will honey information technology!!!
09/xix/2019
Fantastic. i cooked the bottom layer of biscuits til correct before they were done and then added the innards. I didnt have light-green chilis, I used fresh jalapeno peppers, diced. I didnt have sour cream instead I used a package of foam cheese. I didnt measure the corporeality of shredded cheesez only winged it off of personal preference. I too added chopped mushrooms only because. I was extremely surprised that information technology turned out as delicious as it did afterward all my alterations. this recipe is super versatile.
01/03/2013
I remember making this back in high school home ec class, love this recipe as information technology is the same recipe we used way back and then, 35 years ago.
09/23/2007
Simply astonishing! I made a few modifications. I baked the bottom layer of biscuits until the were almost done. For the beef mixture, I added about ane teaspoon of seasoned table salt, onion pulverization, and oregano. I besides added a piffling actress garlic powder, minced garlic, and chili powder.
02/01/2005
Past the time I got done tweeking this, information technology wasn't much like the original recipe. I read all the reviews and took some tips. I added a can of diced tomatoes with chilis as I didn't recall 8oz of tomatoe sauce was enuf for that amount of meat. I also put in green pepper and celery while browning the meat and onions. I also added a Tbls of homemade dry, taco seasoning and some garlic powder as I thot there needed more seasoning. I also added a can of rinsed kidney beans. As hubby likes them and it makes for a good filler and fiber. I used crescent rolls and pre-baked it for 6 min. in a 10 inch pie plate. I didn't need to as when I added the meat mixture, the chaff started getting also brown. I didn't put the acme crust on every bit I didn't want so much dough. I served this with shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, taco sauce and sour foam. I don't think I could have given information technology a iv star rating without my tweeking, tho. I did like the creamy taste the sour foam and cheese in the meat mixture made.
03/xiv/2002
This is And so good! My beau and I devoured it - I don't know if it would brand good leftovers because we ate information technology all! I will definatly be making this again.
08/13/2003
When using a 9x13 pan as 1 suggested, make certain to use more than one tin can of biscuits. Duh, right! When I precooked bigandflaky ones for 10 minutes on the bottom beginning, the end result was burned bottom. Otherwise, the flavor was good, it merely rates low on the presentation/looks.
02/05/2001
My 8 yr old son LOVED this and he ordinarily doesn't eat ground beefiness recipes. My hubby loved it likewise. We will make it over again. Thanks.
03/12/2010
nothing special. merely okay.
06/25/2003
This dish was a big hit in our house. Information technology was easy to brand and very easy to please all. I will go far again......and again....
05/04/2001
This is an incredible recipe--easy, quick, and succulent. My husband loves it!
02/14/2004
We did non treat this at all.
11/03/2002
This dish was pretty adept. What it lacked in appearance, it made upward for in flavor. I used a can of Rotel. I likewise used flaky biscuits considering they're easier to separate. I'm not certain if I volition brand this again or not. Information technology was quick and easy though.
09/24/2005
My husband and I both enjoyed this. We thought it had a good flavor and reminded us a bit of something mexican.
11/08/2014
Tried this for the get-go time this night with a few small-scale tweaks. I substituted foam of mushroom soup for the tomato sauce and used Trader Joe'south 21 Seasoning Salute instead of chili powder. The result was along the lines of beefiness stroganoff betwixt tasty cheesey biscuits, which was fabulous! No problems with putting the raw beige dough lesser or top, the cheese was the sacred glue for the whole matter. I like a piddling hot sauce on mine and information technology'south defiantly going to be a become to in my business firm!
03/22/2001
Delicious
01/27/2005
I've been wanting to rate this recipe for a while. The first time I fabricated this, my boys (xiii and 11) barbarous in dearest with it. It's a great recipe for (my) kids. Don't be afraid of the greenish chile -- it doesn't make it too spicey.
eleven/21/2005
I added a can each of corn and kidney beans. I substituted the green chiles for a tin can of rotel (including the juice). I used crescents instead of biscuits. We but didn't care for it. It was dry out and kind of bland. Husband said he prefers some of the other things I have made meliorate. Thanks anyhow.
03/17/2004
Bully, merely not the best. A trivial bland, would probably dr. up with some more spices ~ thank you anyhow!
01/28/2005
my family actually like this recipe. it tastes like indian tacos. the only affair i would practise unequal. is not put the cheese on the top right abroad, equally information technology got hard. very expert. thank you
12/01/2013
Very good and easy to brand. I cooked the bottom layer of biscuits for about 7 minutes before adding meat. I subbed cream of mushroom soup for sour cream. Used 3 cloves of garlic when browning meat. Added Italian seasoning and cumin subsequently adding tomato sauce considering meat mixture seemed bland. Volition brand once again.
09/07/2014
Boilerplate
06/09/2005
This was actually good, quick and piece of cake to prepare. I recall that I will add some corn next fourth dimension....might be adept.
05/24/2001
Thick, rich and YUMMY! My twenty calendar month quondam even loved it. I will for sure make again... Thanks for the delicious recipe!
06/25/2001
This was a wonderful recipe! Sometimes my family isn't besides excited about eating all of the things I become the gumption up to make. My son even liked information technology and he only likes very bones tastes and foods. It appealed to my hubby considering it had the flavor of the pepper and chili powder. Just the spice wasn't so overwhelming that the kids didn't similar it also. It reminded me of chili with crackers. Will definately brand again.
06/24/2006
This was a flavorful dish, like shooting fish in a barrel to make, and ingresdients normally on hand. I discovered after I started that I didn't have any tomato sauce, only I substituted the aforementioned amount of Cambell's tomato soup and it turned out well. I used regular size biscuits (not the Grande blazon), it took ii cans. This would be fantastic for camping cooked in a dutch oven. Maybe try a flaky biscuit or crescent roll?
10/08/2006
This is a very tasty recipe. I made a few changes I followed others advice and used cresent rolls instead of biscuits, which I baked for nigh five minutes before adding the meat mixture, used canned light-green chiles instead of fresh, and added some cummin. Thanks for the bully recipe.
02/09/2003
My married man really similar this. I idea it was okay, I will make once again and add some cherry pepper to spice it up adjacent time.
08/28/2009
WOW!!! I made information technology only similar instructed with a dollop of sour foam and sliced Jalapenos on top. Proficient stuff! Definitely non fancy or healthy but we had no leftovers! Permanent addition to my box.
02/01/2004
This recipe was actually expert and like shooting fish in a barrel to brand. My husband admittedly loved it. You realy need to cook the biscuits almost all the way before you put them in the dish. I too used a little less meat, and added some Balmy Italian Sausage. I used minced garlic instead of garlic salt. I too used a picayune cajun seasoning and cumin. This recipe is really a keeper...
04/xviii/2003
Very fast very good. I was amazed how flavorful it was and how like shooting fish in a barrel it would exist to fix for a large grouping of people.
03/22/2005
DH and I both enjoyed this. It was almost like a sloppy joe pie. I did not have the republic of chile pepper on hand, so that's probably why. It was still good, but next time I will pre-melt the lesser a bit, and I would similar to try more veggies in it.
07/xiii/2001
Wonderful recipe!!! Information technology was a big hit with the unabridged family unit. I did add together a little more garlic salt. I will most definitely brand this over again and volition likewise share the recipe with friends.
ten/16/2007

The bisquits made a nice crust, I likewise ran them up the side of the pie plate. The flavour is practiced and the cheese layer is unexpected. My family unit said I could make this again.

Husband and I agree...practiced colder weather condition dish. We don't care for spicy and then used just ane tsp chili powder and a blood-red bell pepper in place of hot pepper.

Very adept. I made this pretty much as directed except I used a 4oz. tin can of chopped green chiles and substituted cumin and red pepper considering I didn't accept chili powder. I didn't accept a problem with the biscuits being doughy. They were perfect after 28 minutes.
